Located in the Mary Haskell-Hansen Room of the Gallery, this UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition was curated by Gallery Director Darrell Taylor and features a number of objects only recently added to the Collection; for example, Thaddeus Erdahl’s “King for a Day, Queen for the Night,” and Ruth Kao’s “Artwork #9.”
The title references the metaphysical characteristics of these artworks, their charming ambiguities, and their compositional innovations. Among the works on display are prints, paintings, and sculptures by Salvador Dali (Spanish), Philippe Halsman (Russian American), Odilon Redon (French), Darrell Roberts (American), Dieter Roth (Swiss), Joe Tilson (British), and Conny Walther (Danish) among others.
