“An Encomium: Women in Art”

The exhibition is a single-day UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition curated to accompany the Cedar Valley Chamber Music concert. The exhibition features artworks by Hanne Darboven (German), Jaune Quick-to-See Smith (Salish / Kootenai), Gladys Nilsson (American), Elisabeth Frink (British), and Suda House (American) among others and will be open to the public 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The concert is titled “Festival Program 3: American Woman” and begins at 2:00 p.m. in the Gallery. The concert is organized by Hunter Capoccioni and features compositions by Valerie Coleman, Jennifer Higdon, Libby Larsen, Florence Price, and Ellen Taaffe Zwillich.

All events at the UNI Gallery of Art are free and open to the public.
